Communications Coordinator

Position Overview
Chapter 510 is seeking a mission-driven, detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to support the execution of our 2025–2026 communications strategy.
This role is ideal for a skilled communicator who understands the nuances of nonprofit communications and can manage content across platforms, engage our community, and amplify our message through thoughtful storytelling and smart outreach. Reporting to the Creative Director, the Communications Coordinator will create content, manage our digital presence, oversee day-to-day communications, and help us tell the story of our work with clarity, creativity, and consistency.
Westlake Middle School Teaching Artist
Classification: Part-Time (5-7 hours/week), Non-exempt, At-Will
Hourly Rate: $55–$65/hour, depending on experience.

Position Overview
The Westlake Middle School Teaching Artist leads creative writing, bookmaking, and publishing workshops in our Westlake Writers’ Room. Reporting to the Program Director, this position is ideal for a seasoned teaching artist with experience in curriculum development and a commitment to liberatory, student-centered education. This role collaborates closely with Westlake's ELL teacher, Chapter 510’s Program Coordinator, Book Art Teaching Artist, and our Writing Mentors.
Poet Teaching Artist
Classification: Part-Time (up to 150 hours per contract, hours per week may vary- see schedule section below), Non-exempt, At-Will
Hourly Rate: $55–$65/hour, depending on experience.
Start Date: August 11th, 2025- June 15th, 2026
