Oakland Roots + Chapter 510 Write Your Roots Game!

Calling all writers and soccer fans! Come on down to cheer on our favorite home-Town sports club, and WRITE YOUR ROOTS WITH US on October 16. We are proud to be one of the Roots’ six Purpose Partners this season, and this game will be dedicated to supporting Chapter 510!
On this very night, we will be celebrating the release of our second all-Town Write Your Roots poem written by Oaklanders of all ages, Because We Are Power. We will have free copies of the book at our table, along with this year’s collaborative poetry form (in English and Spanish) for those who want to contribute. One of our powerful young writers will also be blessing the field with a reading from Because We Are Power during halftime!

Parking: Free parking at the Laney Student Parking Lot at 37 7th Street, Oakland, Oakland, CA 94607
Seating: The stadium does not have assigned seating, we recommend that you arrive by 6:00pm-6:15pm to give yourself enough time to enjoy the East 10th block party and still have time to find seating. With a general admission ticket purchase you are welcome to sit in any GA seating (GA, SQUAD and DEEP ROOTS). Please see the map attached.
Food: There will be food trucks, Oakland Roots merchandise booths, community organizations and entertainment.
