Day/Time: Wednesdays 2:30pm—4:00pm
Dates: Feb. 5—April 30, 2025
Students: 4th—5th Grade

Chapter 510 prioritizes Oakland-rooted BIPOC and LGBTQ+ students by creating a space and a place for them in our free programs and workshops. We acknowledge the effects of gentrification in Oakland and also welcome youth located in surrounding areas.
Join us for 12 weeks of culinary creativity and magazine-making magic! Led by local children’s book author and teaching artist, Tiffany “Ms. Tee” Golden. This workshop invites participants to dive into a whirlwind of tasty adventures. Imagine reviewing mouth-watering recipes, exploring new flavors, and even interviewing real chefs to uncover their best cooking secrets!
Alongside food-inspired activities, students will craft recipe stories, write about their taste tests, and build their own culinary profiles. By the end of our journey, each student will have a deliciously unique piece published in our class magazine, a keepsake to share with family and friends.
Get ready for an inspiring, hands-on experience filled with fun, flavor, and creativity—where your love for food and storytelling come together in one unforgettable workshop!
